Michelle and David
My parents met each other while they were both studying animal science at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Today, my mom is a high school chemistry teacher at Ithaca High School, and my dad is the associate dean at Cornell University. I am fortunate to have inherited their compassion, wit and intelligence, and they continue to be my biggest supporters in life.

Aidan
I am extremely proud of my brother. We weren't always on the same team as kids, but I'm grateful we got to grow up together. He has always been a significant motivator of mine to find what makes me happy. He currently lives in Seward, Alaska, and busies himself by skiing and kayaking. As an avian specialist at a research facility, Aidan helps rehabilitate Alaskan wildlife by training target behaviors and collecting data.

Joy and Dick
My grandparents have had a strong presence in my life, supporting me through my childhood and college experiences. My grandmother lives up to her name, exuding positivity everywhere she goes. My grandfather has a loving heart and a laugh to match, and he's helped me become the woman I am today. My grandparents inspire me that growing old doesn't require growing up.

Tizzie

Rico
My family rescued Rico from the Humane Society in March of 2015. Rico brings a sense of exuberance into the house, constantly bounding through the hallways with a squeaky toy in tow. His hobbies include chasing squirrels, stealing socks, and annoying Ruby.

Ruby
Although she may be small, Ruby has plenty of personality to compensate, and she is adventurous to a fault. Her hobbies include burrowing under blanket piles, rolling over, and stealing Rico's toys.
Tizzie
My dad brought Tizzie home in 2007 as a birthday surprise for me. We love her very much, and she tolerates us. She also manages to endure the dogs' impish behavior. Her hobbies include eating, sleeping, and eating.
